No Time To Waste! Fix The Door Alarm Immediately If You Value Security

Security is a must in every organization. But, do you need a wireless door alarm in a world of computer passwords, magnetic keys, security cameras, sensors and security guards? Maybe not. After all, if someone
wanted to reach a determined area or access an unauthorized room, he would have to go through a series of security measures. How could door alarm systems block someone capable of doing that?

What Is A Door Alarm?

Basically, it is a device that is placed in the frame of a door. If anyone trespasses the frame, the door security alarm will emit a high sound, alerting the presence of an intruder.

Although they are commonly seen at houses, especially as a garage door alarm, they are also used at offices. Why haven’t you noticed them? Well, that means that you haven’t been going into unauthorized rooms lately. But they are there.

The basic advantage of a door alarm is that it’s inexpensive compared to other security equipment. The prices go from US$10 to US$50, depending on the manufacturer and the quality of the product. Of course, if you’re buying them for your organization you should make an adequate balance between price and quality. If any security breach occurs due to a faulty door alarm, you will be the one blamed for buying it.

How Does A Door Alarm Work?

A door alarm uses a magnetic field. If a body breaks that magnetic field, then the alarm starts emitting a one hundred plus decibels pitch, so loud that it will not permit the intruder to act accordingly, forcing him to leave or continue suffering the pain caused by the sound.

Since it doesn’t consume too much electricity, a wireless door alarm doesn’t need to be connected to the electrical system of the building. It uses a simple battery which lasts, approximately, one year. If you have wireless door alarms installed or wish to install them, you should consider using the best batteries in the market and executing a maintenance plan for changing them in determined periods of time.

In the case of hard wired door opening alarms, they are connected to the electrical system of the building. Although more expensive models also use batteries in case there is a blackout.
